The influence of the size of the foreign body, when the diameter of the foreign body particle exceeds the thickness of the oil film, it will destroy the oil film, causing strain, damage to the bearing or early failure. When the diameter of the foreign body is large, the foreign body can directly damage the bearing rotating body, causing direct damage.
 
When the diameter of the foreign body is smaller than the minimum working clearance of the bearing, the foreign body can be stirred with the grease through the gap, causing friction on the working surface of the rolling element. When the diameter of the foreign body is larger than the working clearance of the bearing, the foreign body is crushed or rolled into thin dust and adhered to the bearing. surface or embedded in it.
 
 If the crushed foreign body debris is not embedded in the working surface of the male, but enters the lubricating oil, it will further aggravate the bearing wear. As a result, fatigue spalling of the bearing occurs. The temperature of the working surface rises, the lubricating oil loses its function, and the bearing fails. After the foreign body is crushed or embedded in the rolling element, the oil film is quickly destroyed, which causes the bearing to be damaged when it operates in a dry friction state.
 
Therefore, it is necessary to strictly control the entry of foreign matter into the bearing rolling elements in daily use.
